This is one of those old school very solid structures, no thin walls or cheap doors. Everything seems to have been recently restored and very clean. The full service bar was staffed by very competent and friendly employees. The outdoor seating area was very nice to relax and have morning coffee. The price was about half of what I would have expected. The only negative thing I could say was the room air conditioner was pretty loud but that can be pretty typical of any hotel I guess. I will definitely stay here again.

I loved the atmosphere and the staff was excellent!! I was there for almost a month and loved every minute!! Again, the staff was worth thier weight in gold. They are awesome!!!

Fiddletree restaurant was excellent. Nice ambiance with outdoor dining and fireplace seating. Live music was an added bonus. Room was comfortable and felt very private. We barely heard any other guests/staff during our 3 night stay.

This is a lovely hotel. We loved the central location. The restaurant and bar on location were quite nice. The room was very clean and the staff very helpful. Though the heat kept us inside, there was a great outdoor area. The manager was gracious and welcoming!

This hotel was the cutest place I’ve stayed in! Me and my best friend stayed for 1 night and absolutely loved the place! Our room was amazing and beautifully decorated as was the whole place! Highly recommend and the staff was great. The smell of the hotel was amazing! Very different from your regular hotel

The Elwood is such a fabulous, quaint hotel in a great location. The staff were all so courteous and had that southern charm. Even staff that did not tend to you greeted you when they saw you even in a quick passing. I’ll definitely stay at the Elwood for all future visits to Lexington.

This was wonderful hotel with a wonderful restaurant. The staff was very helpful and very nice. We had a great stay and enjoyed the cool interior design. The check-in was super easy, fast and welcoming. The beds were comfortable and the rooms are very large and nicely decorated. Live music at dinner and the breakfast was also good.

Every member of staff we met was welcoming and helpful. The manager, Martha,was exceptional. The room was lovely. Comfortable bed, lots of natural light, good facilities. We ate breakfast a couple of times at the hotel and the food and service were great. The hotel itself is well decorated in a really quirky style, well located to get out to the horsey area of Lexington, down town or anywhere really although you need a car or Uber which we used a lot. Overall we loved our stay here. Thank you.

Staff was all so nice and helpful and attentive. The entire property is spotlessly clean, very comfortable and so well-appointed. Eating on the front patio every morning was so lovely and we ended each day by the fire pit with a drink from the bar. We are already trying to figure out when we can get back to Lexington to stay here even longer. We loved everything about this 4 star boutique hotel.

The Elwood combines a little boho, a touch of elegant and a whole lot of Southern charm into a wonderfully eclectic hotel! The rooms are spacious, the gym was a nice surprise, outdoor seating ranges from white tablecloth elegance to “sit back and relax” rocking chairs, and the location is close to shopping, University of Kentucky, and restaurants.
